It's 2011!

Ok, so it's already February, but I figured that I would at least update what's been going on.

2x started daycare a few weeks ago, so I've been dealing with colds, ear infections, bronchiolitis, antibiotics, fantastic diarrhea, projectile vomiting (I survived!), more words, a little bit of stubbornness...it's been busy!

My boss' pedi told her that 18 months, she only expects boys to have about 6 words. I think this is going to be the new standard I go with! The words are coming fast and furious! Max is picking up a LOT in daycare, "NO!" (generally accompanied by a push or slap), being the most obvious and most frustrating. But he's also picked up "Tay too" (thank you) which is as adorable as it sounds. Last night I was blowing bubbles for them while they were in the bath and, clear as day, he said "bubble!" and then said it 4 or 5 more times, so I think it's a keeper. I've been trying to keep a list of their words and here's what I can remember:

Max - See, see dat (see that), ball, mom, cookie, shoe, go, ray go (ready to go), golgi (goldfish or any cracker or anything that tastes like cheese), wa (water)

Alex - cookie, golgi, bye bye, mom, see

They also both wave hi/bye and blow kisses. Alex has been "giving kisses" (more like open mouth, stick out tongue, slobber on mom) for a couple of weeks now and Max just started the other day.

They know what the following animals say: cow, sheep, doggy (favorite!), bird, lion, fish (basically opening/closing their mouths to make a pop noise), duck

Alex put two pieces of their chunky puzzle in place and that was the first time he'd done that. He also seems like he might be trying to put his shoes on.

They're both getting better about feeding themselves; they will keep their plates on the table and are learning to use spoons at school. I'm not really brave enough to let them have spoons at home yet!

Jess and Denise/Bill are going to watch 2x while I go to DC for work in July. This should be interesting! Hopefully, everything will go well, then. It should be interesting to see how Jesse does on overnights and having to get up early in the morning!
